Launching Second Warehouse

The Inside Story supported the launch of an innovative web-based platform with a full suite of PR and marketing activities


Second Warehouse is an online platform designed to simplify and support cross-hire between pro AV rental companies and suppliers. Using the dedicated website, industry professionals can find the equipment they need in minutes then hire it from their peers without ever leaving the system.

As Second Warehouse neared its launch, The Inside Story was tasked first with developing the website’s branding and marketing message then delivering a full range of services including:

  • Placed features in target titles
  • Advertising design and booking
  • Organic and paid social media
  • Animated video

Delivery and results

The Inside Story’s combined approach delivered excellent results. The launch of Second Warehouse was covered extensively within the industry media as all of our target publications simultaneously published unique news, features and interviews with the founder, Stuart Kerrison.

Alongside the editorial coverage, our planned print advertising campaign rolled out for six months after the company’s launch, comprising a succession of horizontal half pages outlining the platform’s features.

The print coverage was augmented with a digital campaign that included the launch of Second Warehouse social channels and a paid social campaign which targeted relevant industry professionals. Finally, The Inside Story produced an animated explainer video for new visitors to the site.

Following the campaign’s launch, the registration target for year one was achieved in just three months.
